Yes you can! Unlike most other Web Design companies, one of the unique things we do is Show You How! - Do I need An Internet Store to host my site?
Not necessarily. We work on sites pretty much wherever clients decide to host. Some of our Do-it-Yourself packages are designed to easily run on our own servers. Other servers may support the packages, but we make no guarantees as to which ones will be compatible. We'll help you decide where to host and what we can do for you. - How many workshops will it take?
The number of workshops varies as to how prepared you are; how your computer skills are; what your goals are or what the site you want to build is like. - Which is the right E-Commerce site for me?
Determine if you want to open a merchant account or just use PayPal. Then, depending on how you want your products to be displayed will determine which site you choose. We have several options available to you to build an online store. - Can I customize any site I select?
An Internet Store can customize any site we offer or you can customize the site yourself. In the case of a CMS (content management system) site, your Site Administration will allow for many customizable design features. Sites can also be customized in a Workshop, if you'd like some help. - Do I need a computer or special software?
No. You don't need a computer, although most E-commerce sites require you to have email. Our special packaged sites are built so you need only a browser like Internet Explorer. No special software. You can even use our Internet Cafe workstations so your own computer is not necessary! - Can I just have An Internet Store build my site?
You bet! Many of our clients have us build their sites and then come in to learn how to make updates. Other have us "be their web people" by doing as much or as little work as needed to get the job done. - Are there any other costs involved?
The only other costs you'll encounter are registration fees for your domain name, ranging from $10-25 per year. You can register your name yourself or have An Internet Store register for you. We can also discuss with your online advertising which varies in cost. - What if I want only one page?
Then we suggest a workshop. This is the quickest, and easiest way to build a single page. - What workshops do you suggest once my site is built?
We recommend you learn about marketing your site. Building the site is not enough. Learn how to drive traffic to your site. Beware of those "get traffic quick schemes!" - Will you bid my website?
We do not bid work in the conventional way. Being just a low-bid pricing mechanism for a prospective client is time consuming and takes valuable time away from what we would normally spend servicing our existing clients. We'll be happy to work with you to determine your budget but require a consultation with you to discuss things first. We will also be happy to prepare a website plan and budget for a fee. - How can I make updates to my site?
There are many ways to accomplish website changes: If you host with us we do FREE period changes for you (under 15 min. tasks).
You can have us do changes using our hourly rate; you can do them yourself (we can show you how); you can schedule a workshop where we can do the changes while you're here. You can also stop in at our Internet Cafe and have us make quick changes with our Pro-Assist rates. - How do I get my site at the top of the search engines?
How you accomplish this depends a lot on what kind of site you have, how it is constructed (using SEO - search engine optimization techniques), how often your site appears elsewhere on the internet, how often it is updated, the keywords you wish to monopolize, and many more things to look at. We suggest an Internet Marketing Workshop so you can understand the steps in getting your site found online.
